Patrick Pridemore, hornist, has been a member of the New York freelance musician community since 1997. Recognized for his leadership qualities and skills in a variety of genres, Patrick is sought after by orchestras, Broadway shows, chamber music ensembles, studio producers, and rock music groups.
He performs regularly with ensembles such as the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, The Metropolitan Opera, The Knights, and New Jersey Symphony as well as at the Marlboro Music School and Festival. For ten years he was a founding member of the Fischoff Competition-winning Zephyros Quintet. As a soloist, he has performed with the League of Composers (premiering Charles Wuorinen’s Synaxis), Mostly Mozart Festival at Lincoln Center, and Curtis Institute of Music Orchestra among others.
You can also hear him on recordings with such artists as Harry Connick, Jr. and Cheap Trick. A student of Myron Bloom and William Purvis, Patrick attended the Curtis Institute of Music and The Juilliard School. He currently lives with his wife, Vanessa, daughter, Claire, son, Evan and two cats in Westchester.
