Scott Temple, French hornist, was a student of John Simonelli, a member of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and began his professional career in 1973 with the Opera Company of Philadelphia and the Satori Woodwind Quintet, in residence at the University of Delaware. He was a fellowship recipient at the Berkshire Music Festival (Tanglewood), in 1973 and 1974, where he received the C.D. Jackson Prize on horn. Prior to moving to Santa Fe, Temple lived in New York City since 1979, and was a member of the New York City Opera, Orchestra of St. Lukes and the Brooklyn Philharmonic. He also performed with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, and served on the music performance faculty of Columbia University. Temple was a participant at the Grand Teton Music Festival and North Country Chamber Players and has appeared with other national and international music festivals in connections with his associations with the Orchestra of St. Lukes and Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.
